Sony XBR75X900E Short Review, Specs and Manual

This is the 79 Inch version of the Sony X900E series (the biggest of the series) which features a stock Android Operating System for its TV interface. With its 4K picture technology it produces exceptional image quality with vibrant color production and brightness throughout the 79 inch screen. Easily fill your room with sound with Dolby sound technology that provides realistic surround sound through the HDTV built-in speaker or any external speakers used.

4K X-Reality Pro

This gives much more detail on a certain scene, making them appear smooth and natural like appearance at almost realistic picture quality.

X-Tended Dynamic Range PRO 5x

This HDTV has 5 times more contrast range compared to standard HDTV. With the help of LED-edge lighting, this HDTV provides balanced brightness across the whole screen panel.

4K HDR Processor x1

Wider color, brightness and contrast with no loss of detail compared to other standard HDR on other HDTV's.

Colors are striking and almost pop up in every scene and it is as close as the real thing, giving more realistic viewing experience.

Powered by Google Android OS

Instead of a boring and hard to use interface, this HDTV has a built-in android operating system. Just like your smartphone you can organize and even download apps from google playstore, download youtube, net flix and even games and play right on the Sony X900E. And as a android operating system grants you to use the Google Assistant for voice commands.

The google chromecast allows you to mirror or cast your phone into the TV wirelessly with the help of Wifi connection.

Dolby Digital Plus and Dolby Pulse

Sound output from the HDTV are further enhanced with the help of Dolby technologies. Further immerse and fill your room to almost surround sound listening experience when watching HD movies.

  • The built-in android operating system is a huge plus
  • Excellent picture and audio quality
  • It is compatible with Playstation Vue

  • Not user friendly remote
  • Hard to follow user guide
  • It only has 16GB of onboard storage for android and it will easily get full.
  • Speaker needs more volume to compensate for the large screen

The most highlighted feature of this HDTV is the built-in Android operating system. It is like having a supersized android tablet only without the touchscreen ability. With android you can do pretty much everything and the app and games availability is limitless including the entertainment purposes. The only drawback that I can find on this HDTV is the remote is kinda hard to use. But overall I would definitely choose this HDTV over other HDTV on the market to date. This verdict is almost the same on all X900E series. This is the 79 inch version the largest among all the X900E series, I wish that the volume is a bit louder to match the size of the screen but overall this is a great buy HDTV.
