LG 43LJ550M Features, Specs and Manual

This is the 43-inch version of the LG's J550 HDTV lineup. It features a 1080p of maximum resolution with enhance colors and good contrast displayed across the whole screen. The interface is smart powered that is user friendly and can access online streaming media content when connected at your home Wi-Fi connection.

Here are the features that I find interesting.

  • Color Master Engine

The Full HD 1080p perform at its best on this HDTV. It has amazing color production, sharpness, luminance and amazing color production throughout the screen.

  • webOS 3.5

The user interface that is easy to use and navigate. It can access the internet and allows you to stream videos directly from major online streaming video services without the need of a computer.

  • LG TV Plus App

Use your smartphone as a remote, search videos and play/cast/mirror them wirelessly onto the HDTV

  • LG Virtual Surround

Further enhances the stock speaker and make them output surround sound that easily fills the entire room, almost a theater like effect without the need of special external speaker setup.

  • Excellent picture quality for 1080p resolution
  • Cheap price point and performance for a 43 inch HDTV
  • Easy to setup and user friendly interface

  • Stand feels cheap and not sturdy enough
  • Sluggish webOS

This is a good performing HDTV, it may just have 1080p resolution but it performs well on color production and picture quality. It has a smart feature that is very easy to use but may lag at times maybe because of a slower processor speed and I hope this will be fixable in future firmware updates. I do not recommend using the included stand because it feels cheap and lightweight, better hang this HDTV instead. Overall this HDTV is a good buy for the size and the resolution.
