The Portal+ is a unique way to do video calling that your smartphone cannot usually do. It has clear and smart camera that keep tracks of the subject plus all the video calling are encrypted insuring your privacy and security when making calls. Honestly I wouldn't recommend you to buy this device if you will just use it for the purpose of video calling because the only advantage I could think of this device that will differ from your current smartphone is the camera and the built-in Alexa.
